by on Jan.24, 2012, under Basketball

As the district season winds down Clark’s boys and girls basketball teams continue fighting through a tough 27-5A. Kudos to the girls for a huge victory over Jay late last week 65-63. Kristen Lye and Donna Matthews each had 13 points and Kirsten Kramer had 12, but it was a full team effort with 11 players scoringĀ  including: Sam Beimer, Sarah Flournoy and Trei Torain, Alejandra Esparza, Katy Baum, Ashley Salinas, Hannah Garcia and Lindsay Lyda. The Cougars remain just a game out of playoff positioning with four games remaining. They face Warren on Wednesday at 5:00 at Paul Taylor.

The boys take on Warren today at 5:00 also at Paul Taylor. Warren is just a half game behind the Cougars, who are in second place.
