Cross Country District Meet

by on Oct.29, 2014, under Cross Country, Fall Sports

An end of another xc season is here. Everyone ran well this year and while we
don’t have any runners going on from Districts, we do have a very young team
with many first time cross country runners. We are only losing 2 seniors from
varsity this year, so many of the new runners to XC this year will definitely
run over the summer and be ready for next season!

Cross Country Picks up the Pace

by on Sep.22, 2014, under Cross Country, Fall Sports

Seizing the opportunity of cool weather, Clark Cross Country brought the heat at Saturday’s SAISD Invitational meet. Ordinarily a hot and dusty meet, the conditions were ripe for victory. Not a team to drop the ball, the Cougars led the pack in all races, with the Varsity Boys placing third overall, taking home some solid hardware. Furthermore, congratulations to Senior Eric Padilla and Junior Natalie Hoffman for placing third and eighth individually in the Varsity Boys and Girls races.

X Country Runs at Blossom

xc9-6

This weekend at the NEISD Blossom invitational meet, the Clark cross country
team competed in one of the toughest races of the season. The crazy inclines,
heat and humidity were taxing on all runners no matter what school they ran for.
Instead of being intimidated however, Clark runners used the inclines to their
advantage, powering up the hills and letting loose on the descents, rapidly
passing those around them. All in all, Clark ran an excellent, controlled race,
dropping minutes from their pre-season 5k times.

First XCountry Meet

by on Aug.23, 2014, under Cross Country, Fall Sports

xcountryboys1 xcountrygirls2Despite the terrible heat and lack of shade, Clark runners put out great hustle and solid effort at Saturday’s Boerne Champion cross country meet. The palpable excitement overcame first meet jitters as the runners talked and relaxed on the early morning bus ride, and carried everyone through, turning out great times.
