Clark scored two wins over Taft as the soccer regular season winds down. The boy’s team notched its 5th win in a row with a 3-2 victory over the Raiders. Placide Buduri had two goals and Jonathan Lawson scored one.

On the girl’s side, Gabrielle Santorio found the back of the net to lead the 8th ranked Cougars to a 1-0 win over 9th ranked Taft. 

Clark soccer has one district game remaining in the season against Holmes.

The Clark baseball team scored first but couldn’t hold on as John Jay held on for a 4-3 win.

Clark softball suffered a lopsided loss to the 5th ranked O’Connor Panthers in district play. The final score was 12-0.

Several Clark Cougar athletes were mentioned in the March 10th edition of the Express News as leaders in their sports.  Congratulations and keep up the good work!

Clark JV lost to O’Connor in a heart wrenching 8-6 game. Tori Flint had a standing double and Kimberly Regino (Stryker) had a good pitching game, walking only 2 batters.  Hanna Garcia snatched a hard hit line drive to third base and the team executed excellent bunting and good defense. Way to go, ladies.

22-3.  3 inning run rule.  Meagan Aragones gets the win and Cougars are now 2-0 in district.  ‘Nuff said except Good job, Cougars.

The JV Softball Team took on John Jay High School and scorched them for 15 runs, winning 15-4.  Kimberly Regino (Stryker) had over 8 strikeouts, Tori Flint hit a triple with bases loaded and in the last inning Kat Boyd caught a line drive at third base to seal the victory. Way to go JV.

Trey Doebbler slides to tie

Down 3-2 in the 5th inning, the Clark Cougars battled back and beat Marshall in varsity baseball 4-3. Lead off hitter Jason Cervantes started the inning with a double, Trey Doebbler followed that with a triple to drive in the tying run and JoJo Ybarra finished off the Rams with a hit that sent Doebbler home. Ybarra also had a two run shot in the 1st inning. Pitcher Carl O’Neal went the distance for the complete game and win.

Several Clark track and field athletes competed and placed in the Southside Relays.  The Girls’ team placed 4th overall and the boys’ placed 3rd.  The results: (continue reading…)
