Go Golf Girls

Last week our girls varsity golf team played at the NISD Concan
Invitational. Mackenzie Walters led the team and finished
Tied for 27th as a medalist with rounds of 90-84.
The team, made up of senior Emily Stewart, sophomores Avery Horton, McKenzie
Kotara, and Mackezie Walters, finished tied for 16th out of 24 teams. The
tournament hosted teams from El Paso to Houston and our girls had a blast
and did a great job!
Congratulations to our defending District Champions! Our next tournament
will be at The Dominion Country Club on December 1st.

After a series of tight and tense matches, Clark lost to Harlingen South in tennis, taking fourth in the Region.

After defeating Laredo Alexander and then losing to perennial powerhouse New Braunfels, Clark tennis made it to the elusive second day of play to meet up with Harlingen South to battle for third place. The Coogs play tomorrow at 9:30 am at the Northside Tennis Center, next to O’Connor.

Area Champions

A new streak continues! Clark tennis handily defeated Health Careers to pick up a second Area Tournament win. Now it is on to Region, which will be played here in San Antonio this year.

Tennis defeated Southwest in the morning and Marshall in the afternoon to advance to the final round of the second ever Area Tennis Tournament.

Despite a diminished line up due to injuries and the Yom Kippur holiday, the Coogs won over Health Careers High School Friday night at NTC.

The tennis Coogs battled two tough opponents in Austin yesterday, Lake Travis and Westlake High Schools. And then there was the rain. Both of these nonconference contests were ultimately called due to the wet weather.

Tennis handily defeated Brennan last night at ATC making it a Shanah Tovah (Happy New Year—Rosh HaShannah). Coach Valdez, who started his high school coaching career at Brennan, saw some familiar faces. The Coogs journey to Austin tomorrow to play Lake Travis and Westlake.
