CLARK vs. WESTLAKE – TRAFFIC WARNING

by on Dec.02, 2009, under Football

menworkingImage2If you’ve visited the 265 (that’s District 26-5A/NEISD) lately, you know there’s plenty of road construction going on that side of town.  Regarding the best way to get to Heroes Stadium, there are reports that 410 at Starcrest will be a mess this Saturday.  I drove past there a weekend ago and traffic in that direction was definitely backed up.  So be sure to check your best route for getting there on time.  There are several ways to go including using the Wurzbach Parkway where it connects by Blossom.

For the latest closures, traffic, etc., use the up to date Transguide website for helping you through our expanding city.

Clark Cougar Football

The Clark – Westlake game once again takes center stage on the TSRNSports Network.  This week’s game will be broadcast on KKYX-AM 680 AM and can be heard around the state during the day.  The game is also streamed on TSRN.  TSRNSports has covered 7 games so far this year of Clark Cougar football and has long been a supporter of Cougar athletics, including other sports as well.

For $100, you can help sponsor this weekend’s broadcast which also gets you two(2) 30 second LIVE commercials during the game.  Consider advertising your business, recognizing your athlete or donating your time to a charity.  As examples in last week’s game, the Clark Athletic Booster Club thanked their generous sponsors and the football parents recognized all the musicians, spirit leaders, etc. who do so much.  If interested, please email us at info@clarkcougarsports.com and we’ll put you in touch or download the form here.

Thanks to last weeks sponsors and GO COUGARS!

COUGARS WHIP RAMS; 13-0 STILL UNDEFEATED

Cougar Defense smothers Rams

Cougar Defense smothers Rams

The 2009 Clark Cougars varsity football team continued their historic run with a 35-14 beat down over the Del Rio Rams in the third round of the playoffs.  The win ties the most wins by a Clark team and is the best consecutive win record ever.

A tried and true Cougar formula, pound the ball down their opponents throats, once again was the winning recipe along with a stifling rush defense.  Behind Ryan Jones rushing and a Glenn Bonner 22 yd. reception, the Cougars marched down the field.  Hayden Greenbauer started the scoring on a 29 yd. run after Clark’s first possession with 2:28 left in the 1st qtr. DEL RIO GAMEDAY NOTES

Clark vs. Stevens on 930 AM

Clark vs. Del Rio on 930 AM

You can find the Clark vs. Del Rio game on KLUP-AM which also has live streaming.

Parking will be a bear with the River lighting ceremony also going on tonight.  Also, the parking lots will already be full from the previous game in the dome.  Don’t expect the Westlake vs. Harlingen crowd to thin out too much – they’ll probably want to scout a little of the next game.  Consider I-35 to the New Braunfels exit, then turn on Iowa which turns into Durango.
