SOFTBALL ENDS GREAT SEASON, BASEBALL IN A HOLE

The Clark Cougars softball team, in the 2nd round of playoffs, fought tough against the defending state champions but just fell short in a game for the ages. Read more about this classic game here in the Express News or here.
The baseball team traveled to Victoria for the first of a best of three series with Victoria Memorial. Stellar pitching by the Vipers shut down the Cougar bats as Clark loses 10-0. Game two is tomorrow at 2pm at NISD. Show up and be loud!.

we were really glad to come out and watch the girls. they did a great job but struggled in the corners. sure glad they held sv like they did. they should be proud.
your shortstop was amazing. she is your gold! way to go short stop!

We saw no struggles in the corners. What game were you watching? All the girls did awesome! But it took the entire team to make it this far. Not just one golden shortstop. Every player was gold on the team. Im sorry your bitter about the corners. Great job girls!!!!

playoffs are bitter-sweet…unless you go all the way to state, your season ends on a loss. but the girls played their hearts out and should be proud. i agree clark softball fought off S.V. in a “game for the ages”! we are looking forward to getting past them next year! go, coogs, go!!

The girls have done a great job all year. (Even the corners) We had fewer errors, by far, than any other team in the NISD, so it is no surprise that they performed as well as they did. I do not mean to be argumentative but from my perspective there was gold all over that field for both teams, the shortstop included.
