Northside ISD boys soccer heavyweights Clark and Jay battled to a 0-0 tie on the pitch over the weekend. The defensive battle in gusty winds was in sharp contrast to the first match up between the two teams on January 31st, which Jay won in the closing seconds 4-3. Saturday’s game leaves the Mustangs in first place with a 9-0-2 record and Clark right behind them at 9-1-2.

The news was better for the Clark girls who beat Jay 2-0 with goals from Blair Socha and Kendall Traa. Action resumes for both teams on Friday with games against Warren at the Northside fields on Loop 410 and Culebra. Girls start at 5:00 and the boys at 7:00.
