by envisionfilmvideo.com on Sep.26, 2010, under Football
The Cougars started strong but a determined “brandies” team and miscues were too much to overcome as Clark lost to the broncos 39-25.
Clark stunned the Broncos on the first play from the line of scrimmage with a 55 yd. Josh Kern to Brandon Yates TD. Then it was the defense’s turn to shine. Jimmy Kueber stuffed a “brandies” 4th and 1 attempt and on the next bronco possession Kris Patino recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. At the end of the first quarter it was “brandies” 0 Clark 13.
In the second quarter, the shootout began. The broncos struck quickly making it a 13-6 game with 11:38 left ’til half. The Cougar offense slowed down and when “brandies” got the ball back on their 12 yd. line, it only took one pitch to the right for a 92 yd. TD making the score 14-13 in favor of the broncos. Following the kickoff, the Cougars fumbled and “brandies” scored again, 21-13 in favor of “brandies”. Ready to retaliate, Josh Kern found Austin Wise for 8 yds. for a Cougar touchdown to make it a 21-19 game with “brandies” leading at the half.
