District play for the Clark Cougars in varsity baseball and softball gets underway with games against Brandeis Tuesday night.  The softball team already has wins against Harlandale, Galveston Ball, Temple and Ft. Bend Kempner.  Christina Rodriquez went 3 for 3 in the game against Harlandale.  Scores are available on the SOFTBALL page.  In the Express-News pre-season Baseball Scouting Report Clark seniors Joseph Ybarra and Trey Doebbler were dubbed “Players to Watch”. Ybarra is a 1st baseman and Doebbler plays at shortstop. Good luck in district to the ladies and the men’s teams!

Lady Cougar Gabrielle Santorio is recognized this week by the Express News for her outstanding play the past few games.  The Lady Cougars will need more of that as they take on Marshall in a key district matchup.  Congratulations, Gabrielle.

The men’s varsity basketball team crushed the Highland Owls in a bi-district playoff game at the UTSA Convocation Center, 84-57.  The next playoff game will pit the Clark Cougars against either Pflugerville or SA MacArthur.  Chris Blake had 4 MONSTER dunks in the game.
