Golf Tournament Recap: “I know I am getting better at golf because I am hitting fewer spectators.”

Despite the looming clouds, the golf gods smiled once again upon us for the Annual Clark, Texas Golf Outing last Saturday.  As we made our way around the track, the play matched the course: sloppy.  But it didn’t stop anyone from having a great time, even a golf ball to Pat Farrell’s noggin neither dented his head nor the merriment.  The Jeff Sandera 4some took top honors though it went to the 5^th tiebreaker hole to edge out the Andy Padron Family 4.  Luke Healy drove the ball the furthest and Kelly Read landed it closest to the pin.  Jeff Schorr, Kyle Cracknell, Steve Lorenz & Richard Eatherly brought up the bottom rung.  It was Schorr’s 3^rd trip in a row to Last Place (I may need to get better playing partners).

I do want to thank all of the participants, especially the Class of ’81 who always show up in force, and to the sponsors who make the Scholarship Program a reality, particularly guys like George Gaiser, Mitch Finnie, Dave Green, Mark Cecconi and Milton Barrett who always tip the till a little heavier each year.

Believe or not Football is right around the corner: So I encourage you to come out and support your local Cougars this fall.  I will remind you come August.
