The Clark Cougar Varsity Baseball team started District play with a 3-2 win over Taft. The Cougars had 7 hits for 3 runs -Hunter McFall had 2 singles and scored 1 run, and Jason Cervantes and Trevor Settles each hit a double and scored. Pitching for the win was Ryan Skowronski with 5 innings pitched, and Chris Werland and Trevor Settles pitched in relief to save the game. This was a great start to district play. Clark plays Seguin Thursday night at 5pm at NS # 2. Clark JV Baseball also beat Taft, 8-2. A great day to be a Clark Baseball player or fan!
Up next for the Cougars: the Northside ISD Tournament, this weekend.
