CHAPMAN TO BE A ROADRUNNER
by envisionfilmvideo.com on Jul.24, 2009, under Football
Clark senior center/deep snapper Robert Chapman has committed to sign with Coach Larry Coker and UTSA to play college football. After being pursued by various colleges, Chapman will become a UTSA Roadrunner following his senior season at Clark. Coker offered Chapman a 5 year deal where Robert will major in business, looking to earn an MBA from UTSA. The son of Bill and Amy Chapman, Robert’s decision was based on the coaching staff and “a value system that’s filled with integrity”, according to Bill. Coker’s comment that “we’re giving D1 scholarships to get D1 players” also spoke to the seriousness of the program and where it’s headed and that also played a part in Robert’s decision.
Robert is an Express News All Area and All District player as well as Honorable Mention as an All State player and named on several lists and websites for various awards. Robert becomes the second Clark Cougar varsity football senior to commit to a college program prior to the season. The head coach of the Cougars is Lloyd Alexander. Congratulations!
