CLARK MEN STILL IN TOP TWENTY

The Clark Cougars Men’s Varsity basketball team remained in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Top Twenty poll this week. With a 23-4 record (9-1 in District 28-5A), the Coogs are #19 for the 2nd consecutive week.

MEN’S JV SOCCER RAMMED

MEN’S SOCCER TIES, BASKETBALL WINS

The Men’s Soccer team faced the same result as the ladies when facing Marshall on the soccer pitch, a 1-1 tie. Placide Budury scored the goal for Clark. In hoops action, the Men’s varsity took Jay to the woodshed and gave them a 74-49 whoopin’.

LADY COUGARS, RAMS GET DEFENSIVE

In a fierce district matchup, the Lady Cougar varsity soccer team took on the Marshall Rams. With at least two yellow cards in the match, both teams fought for the win. The Clark offense was on the attack in the first half but in the second half the tables were turned and it was the defense who kept the Rams out of the goal. The result was a frustrating 0-0 tie.

JV SOCCER FIGHTS BACK, GETS TIE

Down 0-1 most of the game, the Clark men’s JV soccer team rallied back in the second half to score and come away with a tie against Stevens. Valentine Okechi (one of our new favorite Clark athlete names) put the ball in the net after a Clark corner kick came out to the top of the box. Junior keeper Scott Gray had several saves during the game.

The Men’s varsity Basketball team got back to its winning ways with a 56-39 victory over Marshall. The Men’s Soccer team lost to Stevens 4-1. Evan Javors had the lone goal for the Cougars. The Ladies put a W on the board with a shutout over Stevens 4-0. Gabrielle Santorio had three goals and Alyssa Bloom added one.
