FRESHMAN HOOPS CONTINUES TO ROLL

MEN’S JV OUTSHOOTS PANTHERS

Down 1-0 in the first half, the men’s JV soccer team stepped it up and scored two goals to defeat the Panthers in district play. Like the men’s varsity, their record is now 3-1-1 in 28-5A. Claudio Alvarez and Bruno DiPetta scored for Clark.
#9 COUGARS DEFEAT PANTHERS

The #9 ranked Clark Cougars varsity men’s soccer team scored four goals and only allowed one as they defeated the O’Connor Panthers in district play 4-1. Francisco Garza, Placide Buduri, Esteban Rodriquez and Evan Javors each scored for the Coogs. Placide also had two assists in the win.
LADY COOGS SOCCER TIES #7 O’CONNOR

Following an outburst of five goals in the previous game, the Lady Cougars varsity soccer team couldn’t find their scoring legs against the O’Connor Panthers, ranked #7 by the Express News. The good news is neither could O’Connor as sophmore goal keeper Amy Ross made several saves and shutout the Panthers. The result is a tie for both teams. Clark’s district record now stands at 2-0-3.
FRESHMAN MEN’S HOOPS AVENGE LOSS

It took a little extra time but the Clark Cougars Men’s freshman basketball team beat O’Connor in overtime, 52-47. The “A” team is now 10-1 in District 28-5A, their only loss earlier to the Panthers. Chris Miller led Clark with 12 points.

PANTHERS BEST LADY COUGARS

The Women’s Varsity basketball team closed the gap in the final minutes of the game but could not overcome the O’Connor lead as they lost the district game 38-46. Rebecca Oliver had a team high 11 points for Clark in the effort.

CINCO DE JAY, OH! TRIFECTA

If you play soccer for Jay, the school you don’t want to see is Clark. Following in the footsteps of the 5-0 wins by both the men’s and ladies’ varsity teams, the men’s JV Clark Cougars joined in the fun with a 5-0 win over the Jay JV. Carlos Sepulveda scored early and then with less than 5 minutes left in the game, scored again. In those same five minutes, so did Elijah Mayfield, Abdi Mahdi and Endrit Skenderi.
CINCO DE JAY, OH! MEN’S VERSION

Like the Ladies, the Men’s Varsity soccer team put a whoppin’ to John Jay on the soccer field, handing them an equally brutal 5-0 defeat. Johnny Lawson scored as many times as his jersey number (3) for the Cougars and Luis Hernandez and Juan Munoz also added to the total. Goalies Brandon Van Wagner had 6 saves in the net and Brandon Reyes added 3 more saves to keep the shutout.

The Lady Cougars Varsity soccer team unleashed their scoring legs and ripped Jay for 5 goals in a victory in District 28-5A. Leslie Pool scored 2 and Macy Ellis, Alyssa Bloom, and Gabrielle Santorio also put one in the net.
MEN’S HOOPS LOSES CLOSE ONE; BRICKMAN IN PRINT

The Men’s Varsity Basketball team lost a close one to O’Connor, making their lead for District 28-5A a little tougher. The Panthers pulled out a 46-44 win over our guys. The scoring looked like this:
