#26 Richards #10 Seifert

The ladies varsity soccer team, winning a “must win” game against Warren earlier in the week, played Boerne in what Coach Walter Rule had referred to as a game they would play just for fun.  The game carried no weight in the fact that it was not a district game and Boerne was ranked #2 in the city and ranked nationally in some polls.  The fun quickly became serious and the Lady Cougars stepped up their game.  The result was a respectable 2-2 tie.  Senior Rebekah Richards and junior Toria Seifert each scored goals.

#23 Tammaro plays heads up ball

#23 Tammaro plays heads up ball

The Clark Men’s varsity basketball team maintained a #4 ranking in this week’s Express News rankings but fell out of the top twenty state rankings for the first time this year.  Their 24-5/10-2 district record has them in 2nd place in the district behind #3 Express News/#11 in the state Stevens.  In soccer, the men’s varsity also stayed at #9 in the Express News men’s soccer rankings.  Currently 3rd, a win vs. Warren would put them in 1st in a tight district race.  Finally, congratulations to senior Brianna Tammaro for her “game ball” mention in the Express News for her outstanding defense over the past four games.  The Lady Cougars soccer team is also in a tight district race, currently 3rd, and has not allowed a goal in the past four games.
