CLARK SWIMMERS AT REGIONALS

Several members of the Clark Swim team are competing this weekend at the Region VII meet at the Josh Davis Natatorium. And in case you missed it, there was a great article in the Express News on Chelsea Miller who won four gold medals at the district meet. Good Luck, Cougars!
MEN’S SOCCER WINS, LADIES DON’T LOSE

In District 28-5A action, the Clark Cougars varsity soccer teams took on Taft. The men’s varsity team shutout the Raiders 3-0. Jonathon Lawson, Francisco Garza and Luis Hernandez scored for the Cougars. Both teams came into the match with a 3-2-1 record in district and Clark currently sits 3rd in the district race.
The ladies didn’t win but didn’t lose either with a 1-1 tie against the district leading Lady Raiders soccer team. Taft scored in the final minute of the game to avoid the loss. Freshman Gabrielle Santorio scored the lone goal for Clark. This is the fifth tie of the season for the ladies who remain in the chase for a playoff position in district 28-5A.
MEN’S FRESHMAN HOOPS CONTINUE TO WIN

This time, it was the Holmes Huskies who fell to the Clark Cougars freshman men’s basketball team. Adam Perez led the scoring with 22 points. The final score was Clark 60 – Holmes 43.

MEN’S JV SOCCER DEFEATS TAFT

Goalie Scott Gray made at least three great saves to shut out the Taft Radiers in men’s jv soccer. Clark won the game 2-0 with goals from Abdi Mahdi and Carlos Sepulveda. That makes their district record 5-1-1.
LADY COUGARS FINISH SEASON WITH WIN

The ladies varsity basketball team evened their season record at .500 with a win over the Holmes Huskies 45-41. It was their third win in a row and one of two district wins over teams they had posted losses to previously. Carolyn Chavana led the scoring for the Clark Cougars. MEN’S HOOPS HANDLE HUSKIES

In an outpouring of offense, the men’s varsity Clark Cougars basketball team rolled to an 81-41 victory in District 28-5A competition over the Holmes Huskies. Chris Blake led the scoring with 21 and everyone else had plenty.

Congratulations to the Clark Lady Cougars, who came away with another great win today, over the Taft Lady Raiders, 56 – 53. An excellent team effort helped to keep it a close, back & forth game, with the Coogs moving ahead for good late in the 4th quarter, holding on defensively for the win.

The Freshman “A” team put another win on the board, this time against Taft. The final score was Clark 73-Taft 67. Chris Miller scored 23, Adam Perez put in 20, Cal Harr added 14, Carter Josephs shot for 8, Troy Ogletree contributed 4, and John Chapman had 4 as well.
MEN’S SOCCER LOSES TO BOERNE CHAMPION

The men’s varsity and JV teams both suffered a loss to Boerne Champion in non-district games. The varsity lost 4-1 with a goal from Placide Buduri. The JV lost 2-0.
MEN’S HOOPS CLINCH PLAYOFF SPOT, DEFEAT TAFT

The men’s varsity basketball team followed the news of Coach Kevin Hamilton’s departure with an inspired victory over Taft 76-62. The victory clinched a playoff spot for the Clark Cougars. Their record is now 11-2 in district 28-5A, 25-5 overall.
