After a close first half, the Coogs lost to crosstown rival Churchill Chargers 35-14. Clark had two first half TDs, the first from junior QB Chris Rollins the second from senior QB Trenton Ford. Both extra points were kicked by senior Tristan Cavazos. Clark debuted a strong passing game, passing for a total of 139 yards to Dusuau, Dudney, Young, Enderlin, Bloom, and Miller.

Clark Cougars tamed the Marshall Rams in three! 26-24, 25-23, 25-21. Very close sets and exciting volleys! Jasmin Sneed led with 13 kills.

Clark varsity tennis had their best finish ever in the NISD Gold tournament, capturing fourth place at Northside Tennis Center today. The Coogs lost to New Braunfels in the morning, then lost a close one to Houston’s Seven Lakes in the race for third place.

Next up: the NISD Silver Tourney to be held August 29th and 30th.

In a five game match, the final game a 16-14 nail biter, the Cougars beat last year’s state contender Churchill Chargers.

Friday’s Student/Faculty Tennis Tournament revealed some secret tennis talent on the Clark teaching staff. A good time was had by all on a scorchingly hot afternoon.

Clark class of 2013 Austin Wells came in third in the 10K yesterday in the SEC Championships. Running for the Aggies, he posted a time of  29:52.14.
