AROUND THE BASES – MARCH 5TH
by Fan4Clark on Mar.07, 2013, under Baseball, Softball
The Clark baseball team got a win on Tuesday night, but it couldn’t have been closer. The Cougars Beat Taft 1-0 after six scoreless innings. Clark got its one run in the top of the 7th and held on for the victory. Nick Van Ryan was on the mound for the Cougars and gave up only two hits. It was a much needed win for Clark, now 1-2 in district play. Next up is a non district game against MacArthur at Blossom 6pm Friday.
Unfortunately the Clark softball team lost by the narrowest of margins on Tuesday. Brandeis won this game 6-5, but the Cougars never gave up. Down 2-6 in the 6th inning the Cougars added 3 runs to finish the game. Clark is 2-2 in district with Jay up next on Friday at 7pm at Northside.

Coach Scott Byrd leads this year’s champions and their next challenge is regional competition next weekend in Corpus Christi. A great season and tradition continues.
