Heading into the Easter break, Clark teams had a good news/bad news kind of night.
The Clark softball team defeated Stevens 11-0 on the diamond, winning their fifth game in a row. Across the street, Clark baseball also won 11-0 against Jay in 5 innings, the game called because of the whoopin’.
At Comalander stadium, however, the news was not so good for the boys soccer team, whose playoff run ended in the 2nd round against Reagan 0-3.

CLARK BASEBALL GETS WIN
by Fan4Clark on Apr.02, 2012, under Baseball
It may have been a little too close for comfort on Friday, but Clark baseball came through with a 5-3 win over Marshall. Robert Martin was on the mound for the Cougars and the game was scoreless for the first two innings, but by the third inning, the game was tied 3-3. That score lasted thru the 6th inning. It was looking like another extra inning situation- the last time Clark played Marshall, the game went into 5 extra innings. However, in the 7th inning with Chad Dullnig and Devin Haley on base, Chase Jones came in and hit a triple scoring Chad and Devin. John Henderson then came in and pitched the last inning for Clark and held Marshall for the win!
Way to go COOGS!!
Next up is Brandeis on Tuesday at 4:45.

GOLF READY FOR DISTRICT
by Fan4Clark on Mar.28, 2012, under Golf
Last week was a busy week for the Clark golf teams. The week started with the ladies Black team participating in a tournament at Alsatian in the Brandeis Invitational. The team captured 3rd place–led by senior Grace Diana’s score of 90. Marissa Fallis and Kristen Dunn followed up with 92’s for a team total of 371. Great work ladies!
The ladies Silver team’s week was highlighted by a productive practice session at Oak Hills. The ladies focused on their short games–putting and chipping. Improving that aspect of their games will help their scoring as they prepare for the district tournament that will be held at Alsatian on April 2-3.
Both men’s teams participated on Friday and Saturday at Golf Club of Texas at the Holmes Invitational. The black team missed getting a trophy by a slim margin as they finished fourth. J T Caldarola and Tyler Bercher lead the team and tied for 2nd medalist with a two day total of 155. Caldarola won 2nd place medalist by winning a score card playoff. The Silver team placed in the middle of the pack. Senior Jordon Gregory and junior Sean Butler played well for the Silver team. The next tournament for both teams will be the district competition held at Alsatian on April 9-10.
