COUGARS RANKED IN EARLY LIST
by envisionfilmvideo.com on Jun.01, 2009, under Football
5ATexasFootball.com has released their first ranking of the season and the Clark Cougar Football team cracks the list at #25 in the state. Clark is one of only three Region 4 teams on the list. Not entirely accurate (where is that guy? and why isn’t he playing?), the article that accompanies it is a good read and great for diehard fans of the program. You can find out more here.

TILGHMAN BRINGS OFFENSE TO ALL STAR GAME
by envisionfilmvideo.com on May.24, 2009, under Football
In a defense dominated game, Clark senior Jock Tilghman delivered the only touchdown in the annual H-E-B All-Star game in the Alamodome. As Raul Dominguez of the San Antonio Express News stated, “Clark running back Jock Tilghman sealed the victory with a late touchdown, weaving through the East’s defense for a 27-yard run with 5:02 left in the game.” Tilghman’s next appearance in pads will be for West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas.
Senior Cory Smith also represented Clark in the game as an offensive lineman.
Good job, gentlemen!

COUGAR FOOTBALL DATE SET
by envisionfilmvideo.com on May.16, 2009, under Football
Coming off the team’s most successful season with a 13-2 record and an appearance in the Texas 5A semifinals in 2008, Clark Cougar football and their fans are looking forward to a new season. Coach Lloyd Alexander and his staff will kick off fall practice on August 3rd, preparing for the 2009 campaign.
The date is earlier than usual due to the fact that there was no spring football practice because of UIL concerns regarding the swine flu and its effect on the spring athletic season. Teams that do not have spring drills are allowed to start earlier in the fall.
There is still one last chance to get in a football game this spring, however. The annual PowderPuff game is May 21st at Clark High School.
