BRONZE FOR LADIES TRACK AT SOUTH SAN

Several Clark athletes had a good showing at the South San Relays. The result was a 3rd place finish for the ladies varsity and a 4th place showing for the men. Full results can be found here. Congratulations to all!

I find it quite curious that Shaneve Swift (Junior) has no Photograps: For your information she won the 400 meters, third place in the long jump, and was instrumental in both relays. Without her and her sister Shantel Swift (Freshmen) the relays would have been a total lost. Could someone explain why her name is not even mentioned when she contributed just as much, or even more than any other athlete,I suspect something smelling very foul here.

Please feel free to submit information about the meets you participate in anytime. And feel free to submit photos as well. “F.” Swift came from the Express News website and any pictures taken of any one came from the time, dedication and effort of a volunteer parent who spent time submitting them. So far this website is run by a total of two parents who enjoy Clark athletics. We’d welcome your positive input and participation anytime. I’ll be glad to make the corrections now that you’ve been so helpful to point them out. It’s hard to tell from the website if S. Swift is Shaneve or Shantel. I’m sorry and we look forward to a great year from our Clark track athletes.

Actually, Dave Meade (father of Glynnis) and I (father of Ryan) took the photos for this meet (so, it’s 3 sets of parents). We are doing this for the kids and are having fun doing it. We trying hard to get pictures of as many athletes as we can, but it’s a real challenge as I almost missed my own son’s event at the last meet when I waited too long for a picture in the field events. We are doing this totally on a volunteer basis and would love to get involvement from more of the parents. Mr. Swift, if you want to bring a camera to the next meet, we can share the work.
