In their first game of Spring Break, Clark Baseball brought their A game, beating Warren 17-0 to remain undefeated in District, 5-0. On the mound for Clark was Trevor Settles who got his 4th win of the young season. Settles pitched 4 complete innings, throwing 46 pitches, with 4 strike outs, no walks, no hits, and no runs. Chad Dullnig came in for the save in the 5th inning, recording 2 strike-outs, 2 hits and 1 run. Defense in the field was also solid, with the Cougars committing no errors in the game. But pitching and defense were not the only story of the game – Clark had a total of 19 hits in the game, with all players in the line up recording at least one hit. Hunter McFall and Braden Mattson both had 3 hits, Jason Cervantes, Matt Cohen, and Robert Martin had 2 hits and Chris Werland, Chad Dullnig, John Henderson, and Ed Moore each contributed a hit. It was a beautiful day to watch Clark Baseball win their 5th District game!
Next up during Spring Break is Stevens at noon on Tuesday and then a non district game against Johnson at 5:30 on Thursday, both at Northside.
