Christmas break? What Christmas break?

The Clark boys varsity basketball team lost to MacArthur 54-59. Later that
week, they played Reagan and won 67-65. They travel to Laredo on Tuesday
December 30 to play Laredo United South.

The EN named Clark’s own Madison Woods to its Volleyball Super Team.  The senior libero will play with Texas A&M Corpus Christi in the fall.

Lady Cougars are still number one in the city in the Express News ranking. The
Coogs are now 19-1 after defeating Stevens last Friday.

The Lady Cougars take on Brandeis at Paul Taylor on Tuesday, December 30th.

The amazing Lady Coogs are now 18-1. District play starts  this Friday when they play  Stevens at O’Connor High School at 7:30!

The Express News came out with their rankings this week and the Clark women’s basketball
team is ranked number one. Currently, the lady Coogs have a 17-1 record after
defeating Boerne last Friday. Lady Cougars play New Braunfels Tuesday at Clark
High School at 7:30. Come see and support the team!

The Varsity boys basketball team had a great week, beating Central Catholic on
Tuesday in overtime (62-58). They placed second in the SAISD tournament this
past weekend, beating El Paso Eastlake (89-46), Lee (80-67) and East Central
(69-58) before falling to Brandeis in the final (54-77). Teesean Patterson and
Jorden Kite were named to the all tournament team. The boys play Macarthur Monday
night, 8:00 at Blossom. Come out and watch!

Six hundred fifty career victories for Clark girls basketball coach Richard Herbst, who reached the plateau during the Cougars’ 71-56 win over Killeen on Dec. 5 at the New Braunfels Canyon tournament. He is 652-359 overall.

Congratulations to Hayden Brown! Hayden will be signing with Oklahoma Christian University as their
starting shortstop. The signing is scheduled to take place on December 19th in the living room at Clark.
Hayden will attend Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, OK next fall.
